Budhanilkantha Municipality

Budhanilkantha Municipality is one of the historical municipalities of Nepal. Among the 11 local governments of Kathmandu District located in the capital of Nepal (excluding the Metropolitan Municipality), it is the second largest in Nepal based on population. It is connected to the Nuwakot District on the north side of this municipality and Shivapuri Nagarjuna National Park, Ward No. 3, 4, 6, 7 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Ward No. 4 Dhapasi of Tokha Municipality on the south.Similarly, Tokha municipality is located on the west side, while it is connected to Gokarneshwar municipality and Ward No. 6 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City on the east side. Among the many religious places in Kathmandu Valley, Budhanilkanth Municipality is also considered important. Located at the foothills of Shivpuri in the northern part, this place is the area of faith Shaiva, Vaishnava, and Buddhist Dharmalamvi.
